Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our coffee lounge. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively. Duties
- Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth functioning throughout the shift
- Supervise and motivate team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Manage sales targets and implement merchandising strategies to maximise revenue
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing enquiries professionally via phone and in person
- Organise staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours
- Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and coordinate deliveries as needed
- Support training programmes for new staff members, promoting professional development
- Handle administrative tasks such as reporting, record keeping, and maintaining organisational standards
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the store premises
- Proven management or supervisory experience within retail or related sectors
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills
- Ability to supervise and manage a diverse team effectively
- Experience in sales management, merchandising, and customer service excellence
- Organisational skills with keen attention to detail and time management abilities
- Proficiency in administrative tasks and familiarity with basic computer software programmes
- Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly advantageous for engaging with a diverse customer base
- Exceptional phone etiquette and organisational skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently
- Previous experience in retail management or sales management is preferred but not essential; leadership potential is key
