We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join the Digital Regulation Assurance team in London to support with delivery of projects to clients in this space.

You will understand our clients' industry and the issues they face on regulatory compliance. The combination of your specialist and core assurance skills, industry expertise and on-going investment in this area will allow you to anticipate complex business problems for our clients and recommend appropriate action.

You will be

  • Working within a team to provide professional services across the Algorithm and AI Assurance focus areas described above.

  • Providing assurance over large technology platforms compliance with new Internet regulations - e.g. Digital Markets Act, Digital Services Act, EU AI Act

  • Completing control reviews and control testing, leveraging Deloitte's methodologies and tools.

  • Supporting with day-to-day delivery of project objectives, interaction with clients, and regular reporting to team leads

  • Preparing deliverables including written reports, working papers, and summary analyses.

  • Ensuring project deliverables are undertaken in accordance with quality and risk requirements.

  • Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.

  • The projects we work on from client to client can vary a lot and therefore you need to be prepared to adapt quickly to new situations and enjoy variety. Often, we are part of cross-service line teams delivering our expertise on large scale engagements which will give you the opportunity to also build a strong internal network

Connect to your skills and professional experience

To qualify for this role essentials are:

  • Keen interest in regulatory requirements relating to digital regulation (e.g. Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, Online Safety Act, EU AI Act, etc).

  • Experience in internal or external audit, including planning engagements, assessing risk, developing proportionate audit procedures, performing design and operating effectiveness testing of controls, evaluating evidence, exercising professional judgement and forming clear, well-supported conclusions.

  • Highly proficient in written and oral communication, including experience in written deliverables to senior stakeholders.

  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Impressive analytical capabilities (including proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word).

  • Strong Project Management Skills (input to the design of approach, management of junior staff, client stakeholders, timely reporting to internal and client senior management).

  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining strong client relationships.

  • Highly motivated, committed with a positive and ambitious attitude.

  • A keen interest in exploring and applying AI-enabled tools responsibly to streamline processes, enhance efficiency and improve the quality and consistency of deliverables.

Additional desirable experience includes:
  • Experience in regulatory change projects (e.g. through working within a risk and controls team at another professional services firm or within industry, or through experience in regulatory supervision).

  • Experience in working with control frameworks and/or control framework enhancement, especially relating to regulatory compliance.

  • Use of Gen-AI to drive enhanced efficiencies in delivery and design of services.
