Your responsibilities will be:
· Hold a weekly meeting with the general manager to discuss the previous week, the coming week and any issues.
· Assist the GM with the training and development of staff skills and knowledge to ensure they can perform their jobs to the best of their abilities.
· Oversee the smooth day to day running of the bar and restaurant.
· Effectively communicate to the GM, any items which may need to be ordered.
· Ensure a high standard of staff morale, motivation and enthusiasm.
· Communicate any major issues with the GM.
· Communicate instructions/requests between staff and GM and vice versa
· Help the GM with the development of the brand, including identifying gaps in the market and exploiting new revenue streams.
· Ensure staff are safe in the work place
· Ensuring correct company procedures are adhered to.
· Ensuring health and safety standards are consistently met, and holding staff accountable where needed.
· Work with the GM to ensure running costs are kept to a minimum.
· Helping set, maintain and improve company standards.
· Leading shifts, organising staff roles and break allocations.
· Dealing with any customer complaints, and action improvements, providing on the spot training if necessary.
· Ensuring the safety of the building at all times, including locking up at the end of an evening
· Maintaining the high quality of the product (food, drink and service)
· Report any maintenance issues to the GM
· In the absence of the GM, maintaining the high standards, and executing any extra work and responsibilities, to the best of your abilities. (In this event you will receive a full hand over of duties, and know exactly what is expected of you)

Qualifications
- Supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong team management and leadership skills
- Culinary and food safety knowledge
- Experience in food preparation and cooking
- Familiarity with bartending and beverage service
- Background in food production and kitchen operations
- Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus
Pay: £28,000\.00\-£30,000\.00 per year
