Assistant Management Accountant

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a hospitality business on an interim basis.

This is a hands on role supporting the Finance team across the management accounts function. We are looking for someone who can come in, get up to speed quickly and provide additional support during a busy period.

The role

• Supporting with month end accounts and management reporting


• Balance sheet reconciliations and analysis


• Supporting P&L preparation and variance analysis


• Assisting with accruals, prepayments and journals


• Supporting budgeting and forecasting


• Working with operational teams to understand financial performance


• Assisting with cash flow and other finance reporting


• Supporting with ad hoc finance projects and process improvements

About you

• Previous experience within a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant role


• Strong management accounting and reconciliation experience


• Comfortable working with P&L and balance sheet information


• Good Excel skills


• Ideally experience within hospitality, leisure, retail or another multi site environment


• Able to work independently and hit the ground running


• Good communication skills and comfortable working with non finance stakeholders

This would suit someone who is available immediately or at short notice and is looking for a hands on interim assignment within a busy hospitality environment.
