Assistant General Manager – Vyta Restaurant

Vyta Restaurant is looking for an ambitious and hands\-on Assistant General Manager to join our team, with the opportunity to develop into our next General Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and grow within a dynamic restaurant environment.

Working closely with our Operations Manager, you will receive ongoing training, guidance and support to develop your leadership, operational and commercial skills. Our goal is to help you build the experience and confidence needed to progress into a General Manager position.

The Role

As Assistant General Manager, you will be a key part of the daily operation of the restaurant. We are looking for someone who is hands\-on, proactive and passionate about delivering an excellent guest experience.

You will be actively involved in service, leading the team from the floor and ensuring that our standards are consistently maintained.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Operations Manager with the day\-to\-day running of the restaurant


• Being hands\-on during service and leading by example on the floor


• Supervising and motivating the front\-of\-house team


• Ensuring consistently high standards of customer service


• Managing service flow and resolving guest issues professionally


• Supporting staff training, development and performance


• Helping to manage rotas, stock, ordering and operational procedures


• Monitoring health \& safety, hygiene and company standards


• Supporting the management team with achieving sales and controlling costs


• Taking responsibility for the restaurant in the absence of senior management


• Working closely with the Operations Manager to develop your management and leadership skills

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in a supervisory, management or Assistant General Manager role within hospitality


• Is confident leading a team during busy services


• Has a genuine passion for hospitality and customer service


• Is highly organised, reliable and proactive


• Is comfortable being hands\-on and working alongside the team


• Has strong communication and leadership skills


• Can remain calm and make decisions under pressure


• Is commercially aware and understands the importance of sales, costs and profitability


• Is ambitious and genuinely wants to progress into a General Manager position

This role is designed for someone who wants to grow with us.

You will work closely with our Operations Manager, receiving hands\-on training and mentoring across all areas of restaurant operations. As you develop your skills and demonstrate your ability to take responsibility, there will be a clear opportunity to progress into the role of General Manager.
