Assistant Design & Sales Manager
BoConcept is a leading retailer of premium modern design furniture offering complete collections and an interior design service to our style conscious customers so we are looking for the very best design and sales people that can work from our BoConcept store with the potential for some travel to support the other local stores if desired.
We require our Assistant Design and Sales Managers to not only be experts in style and design, be exceptional communicators who truly understand our customer's needs and be able to talk confidently about our stunning furniture alongside colours, textiles, style and space, all of which compliment our superb global brand but also take on operational duties that help develop and grow our business and teams.
Our Assistant Managers are still expected to engage with our customers directly and therefore deliver their own sales performance increasing their own income through commission alongside undertaking supportive management tasks within the store allowing them to find the perfect blend of design, sales and operational based activities

We offer:
Basic salary plus excellent commission structure, approximately earning in total c.£30k\-£35k for full time and pro\-rata for part time. The earnings are a combination of basic salary earnings plus a commission of all completed projects and transactions.

The profile:
Experience of supervising, managing and developing self and others
An understanding of processes and operations which aid the smooth running of a business
Demonstrable experience or qualifications in Interior Design
Design \& Sales excellence is essential and knowledge of using a sales process is beneficial
Outstanding personal service from order processing through to assisting with being on site for home delivery and installation
Able to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers and clients
Exceed customer expectations on service and journey throughout the design and sales process
Experience of dealing with premium customers, particularly in furniture is preferred
Drive, self motivation, energy, integrity, dedication, personality and a positive attitude are essential
Weekends and bank holiday work are required on a 'fair share' rota basis
Duties:
\- Support the store manager in the delivery of all performance and operational goals and standards
\- Lead by example on own standards and performane with the ability to help others achieve the same levels
\- Collaborate with clients to determine their design preferences, functional needs, and budget constraints
\- Develop interior design concepts and present them to clients for approval
\- Select and source materials, finishes, furniture, and accessories that align with the design concept
\- Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other professionals to ensure the successful execution of the design plan
\- Oversee the installation of furnishings and decor items
\- Maintain showroom standards and styling within our beautiful retail store
\- Acquire and retain your own clients providing a high standard of account management to meet both their needs and those of the business.
Experience:
\- Experience of people management, giving and receiving feedback and demonstrate ability to take responsibility for self and others
\- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field preferred
\- Proven experience as an Interior Designer or a similar role
\- Experience of sales and negotiation preferred
\- Experience of working in a customer facing environment such as retail, hospitality, etc.
\- Strong skills in design software programs
