Description

• Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.


• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis.


• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes within the organisation.


• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.


• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.


• Provide support for audits and liaise with external auditors as necessary.


• Monitor and review financial data to identify trends and insights.


• Assist with ad hoc financial projects and tasks as required by the Accounting & Finance team.

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

• Proven experience in a similar accounting or finance role within the retail industry.


• A strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.


• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.


• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.


• An analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving.


• A relevant accounting qualification or working towards one (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA).


• Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Offer
