Location: Holroyd Precision Ltd, Harbour Lane North, Milnrow OL16 3LQ
Weekly Wage: £296 (Year 1\)
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (one day at college)

We are now inviting applications for our 2026 Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship Programme.About the Apprenticeship
This Level 3 Engineering Fitter (Mechanical) apprenticeship provides hands‑on training in the build of complex multi‑axis milling and grinding machines. You will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining skills in mechanical assembly, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical connections, precision measurement and machine commissioning. The programme typically lasts 3–4 years, depending on qualification completion and on‑the‑job progress.What You Will Learn* Build complex sub‑assemblies from component level using engineering drawings and schematics
- Assemble parts to tight tolerances while maintaining quality and precision
- Use conventional measuring tools and testing equipment to ensure accuracy
- Build and connect hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical control systems
- Check machine alignments using laser technology
- Assist with commissioning, testing and installation
- Travel internationally as part of the machine installation team (once competent)
- Strong drive for learning, with excellent attention to detail
- Enjoys hands‑on work and assembling mechanical systems
- Team‑oriented, confident and motivated
- Able to travel to the workplace and to college for day release
- Must have completed a Level 2 engineering qualification (college or apprenticeship)
- Possess basic engineering skills from working in a engineering environment or attending college
- Genuine interest in pursuing a career in machine tool build or CNC machine operation
This is a hands‑on role based in an engineering workshop, working with tools, components and sophisticated machinery.How to Apply
