As an apprentice, you will join one of our flagship trading services – LCH SA, a leading global clearing house providing clearing services to international clients.
Eligibility
To be eligible you should be either on track to enter a master’s degree in 2026 or currently enrolled in a master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics,Engineeringor arelated field.
Please note that the duration of the apprenticeship will vary from 1 year to 2 years, depending on whether you are a Master 1 or Master 2 student.
What you will do
We have a number of teams looking for an apprentice to join in Operational, Sales or Business Management role and, depending on your placement, you may join one of the following business areas:
Operational Excellence
- Work closely with Business Managers within the Operational Excellence contributing to transversal topics while supporting process improvement, automation, and AI\-driven initiatives.
- Work closely with the Customer Success and Customer Onboarding teams, gaining exposure to customer lifecycle management, operational processes, and cross functional coordination.
- Support business analysis activities within an operational environment, helping to analyse processes, identify improvement opportunities, translate business needs into clear requirements, and contribute to data‑driven decision‑making across teams.
- Manage clients’ requests for the deposit and withdrawal of cash and non\-cash collateral
- Monitor the proper execution of margin call collections across the various currencies
- Process and record daily investment operations (reverse repos, securities purchases/sales).
- Manage bank accounts related to investment, collateral, and clearing activities
- Regularly review and update operational procedures and permanent controls
- Analyse clients’ requests and prepare appropriate written responses.
- In the Product team, you will Support product development and change initiatives, contributing to business requirements, product specifications, documentation, and supporting testing and implementation of product enhancements.
- Assist with product analysis and reporting, using data to review business trends, client/member activity, and service performance.
- Work with Product, Risk, Operations, IT and other stakeholders to coordinate delivery, gather feedback, and support regulatory and operational resilience‑related product activities.
- OR You will join the Business Management team,Support strategic planning and business management activities, including preparation for stakeholder meetings, governance forums, and senior‑level reporting.
- Assist in the coordination and delivery of operational and strategic projects, working across Product, Sales, Operations, Risk and Finance teams.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of business management processes, tools and reporting, using data‑driven insights to support decision‑making.
- Support the deployment of LCH clearing services across European clients, working closely with Sales, Product and Operations teams across LCH SA (Paris) and LCH Ltd (London).
- Contribute to client and product analysis, including client mapping, review of clearing activity and product usage, and preparation of client‑facing materials, presentations, and sales documentation.
- Assist with client engagement and commercial initiatives, including follow‑up with clearing members, identification of cross‑sell opportunities, and support for sales events, reporting, and data‑driven sales tools.

- You should be currently pursuing a master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics,Engineeringor a related field
- You will need to show excellent French and English written and verbal communication skills.
- You should have a demonstrable interest in financial markets, which you’ve built through your studies, work experience or extracurricular activities.

Recruitment Process:
- The first stage of the recruitment process involves making an application and submitting your resume.
- The next stage of the application process is an untimed Immersive Online Assessment. The assessment is designed to give you an insight into what it’s like to work at LSEG.
- The second stage is a video interview where you will answer a series of questions using a strength\-based\-interview style
- The final stage is a half day assessment centre which involves several different types of exercises – further information is provided at the point of invite.
