The Estates Management team deal with the day to day running of the property portfolio, including management of the Council’s investment portfolio, acquisition and disposal of property, property valuation, minimising the Council’s liability for non\-domestic rates, managing any Right to Bid (Assets of Community Value nominations) across Calderdale and provision of property advice to deliver strategic and corporate projects and initiatives.
We provide a highly effective and customer focused property service to the Borough, dealing with business and operational responsibilities.
This post will play an essential role in assisting the team to maximise the revenue from existing assets, provide efficient management of the Council’s property portfolio and help deliver the Council’s asset strategy.
The role will assist in the day\-to\-day management of the property portfolio including tenant liaison, deal with enquiries from members of the public, tenants, interest groups, partners, and councillors, deal with repair and maintenance help calls, deal with and collate compliance and financial records, be responsible for web page information, produce marketing particulars, draw plans and collect and input data to be able to produce reports.
The successful candidate will have English and Maths to Grade 4 / C or equivalent. Will be able to demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills. Be familiar with collecting, recording and applying data, able to work collaboratively and able to use IT packages. Closing Date: Monday 29th June 2026

To be eligible for this apprenticeship you must meet the criteria set out by the Department for Education in the Apprenticeship funding rules, including:* Be aged 16 or over on the day the Apprenticeship starts.
- Having a valid and eligible residency status and the right to work in England which will last for the duration of the apprenticeship (as described in Annex A of the Apprenticeship funding rules).
- Meet the essential qualification criteria in the role profile and be able to provide original qualification certificates at interview.
- Not be enrolled on any other programme or qualification which means you are not eligible under the Apprenticeship funding rules.
- Not have prior learning and experience (including qualifications at the same or higher level in the same or a closely related field) which duplicates the learning and experience to be provided under the apprenticeship. The Council will assess this via an assessment of prior learning and experience

This role is based in the UK. Home Office guidance states that candidates must evidence their right to work in the UK prior to commencing employment, either as a UK or Irish citizen, under the EU Settlement scheme or having secured any other relevant work visa.
