Apprentice Dental Nurse

Busy independent NHS practice near central Doncaster, is seeking an Apprentice Dental Nurse to start ASAP to join our growing team!

Job Description

• Your role will include assisting the dentist in the surgery, working in the sterilisation room and reception.


• You will during a normal week work in all these areas of the practice however your main role will be that of assisting the dentist in the dental surgery, with clinical situations and dealing with and communicating with patients.


• Whilst working in the surgery you will assist with treatments and will need to use the computer to assist with recording information.


• You would need to take responsibility for ensuring the cleanliness of your surgery and the readiness of instruments and materials for the dentist to use.


• In the sterilisation room you would be responsible for ensuring that all equipment passes through the correct process ready for reuse.


• You will whilst on reception need to greet patients and book appointments, collect payments and file paperwork accurately, also answering the telephone and dealing with patient enquiries is an important part of your work.


• As communication with staff and patients is an essential part of working in the dental practice you would need to be a team player who is prepared to work efficiently and logically to achieve the necessary tasks each day.

The practice is fully computerized using Dentally software, digital xrays, rotary endo, digital scanners, intra oral cameras and a separate decontamination room. There is car parking onsite and easy public transport links being closely located to the city centre.

Apprenticeship course will be via remote virtual learning.
