Assembly/Scissor Lift Operative \- (mechanical experience)

Hourly rate: Depending on experience

The Role

• Working on dock levellers; scissor lifts and hydraulic lifting equipment


• Working across assembly and scissor lifts and working on general lifting equipment structures within our purpose built workshop, also a range of steel profiles, bespoke frames.


• Ability to accurately interpret and understand technical drawings for new manufacture, refurb and build work.


• Working within clear quality and finish standards to tight deadlines.


• Carrying out the assembly build to final factory sign off.


• There may be limited assistance required with the installation of product.


• There may be some final factory connection of control panels and electrical wiring sign off \- electrical competence.

• 33 days holiday including bank holidays.


• Monday to Thursday 07:30am to 16:00 hrs and Friday 07:30am to 14:00pm working.


• 38 hours per week.


• Overtime available, paid at time and a half after 38 hours.

• Heavy manual handling in excess of 26kg\+


• Progression routes can lead to regional site commissioning.

• All round ability and skill\-set for mechanical skill\-set and/or hydraulic experience.


• Familiarisation with loading bay/lifting equipment.


• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.


• Ability to work under pressure


• A FLT license would be desirable but not essential.

Pay: £14\.26\-£17\.15 per hour
