Hours: Monday \- Thursday 9am\-5:30pm Friday 9am\-5pm (1 Hour for lunch)
Qualification: Level 3 Dental Nurse Apprenticeship

Colne Dental Care is a patient\-centred dental practice committed to providing safe, effective, and high\-quality dental care to all our patients. We offer a comprehensive range of dental services, including routine examinations, preventive care, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, dental implant surgery, and conscious sedation. In addition, we provide specialist\-led care and accept referrals for advanced and complex treatments where appropriate.

The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and conscientious Dental Nurse Apprentice to join our clinical team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience across general and cosmetic dentistry along with oral surgery, while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.
You will work under close supervision, developing your skills in chairside assistance, infection control, and patient support, including assisting with oral surgery procedures where appropriate to your level of training.
Key Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during NHS, private, and oral surgery procedures
- Preparing surgery rooms and equipment, including surgical instruments
- Maintaining high standards of cross\-infection control and decontamination in line with HTM 01\-05
- Supporting patients before, during, and after treatment, including reassurance and aftercare advice
- Accurate record keeping and compliance with GDPR and practice policies
- Adhering to health \& safety, safeguarding, and CQC standards
- Attending college training and completing all apprenticeship coursework
Essential:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, or willingness to work towards these
- Strong communication skills and a professional manner
- Genuine interest in dentistry and surgical care
- Willingness to learn and follow clinical protocols
- Ability to work calmly and effectively in a clinical environment
- Previous experience in a dental, healthcare, or customer service role
- Interest in progressing into post\-qualification dental nursing or oral surgery nursing
