Applications Engineer

Stourbridge \| Full\-time \| Permanent \| £35k to £40k depending on experience

We’re a small, well\-established engineers merchant based in Stourbridge, looking for a practical and reliable Applications Engineer to join our team.

This is a hands\-on role in a friendly, down\-to\-earth environment — ideal for someone who enjoys variety, working closely with customers, and seeing projects through from start to finish.

The Role

• Manage customer enquiries through to completed orders


• Review drawings and specifications (HVAC / expansion joints or similar)


• Advise on expansion joint positioning and applications


• Review PDF drawings calculating thermal expansion, altering pipe routes and marking locations for expansion joints and related products.


• Prepare quotations and process orders


• Work closely with manufacturers, suppliers and internal teams to deliver projects on time


• Support customers with technical queries and problem\-solving

• Experience in a technical, applications, or design\-based role


• Comfortable working with pipework drawings.


• Knowledge of HVAC, expansion joints, or similar products would be ideal


• Practical, organised, and able to manage multiple jobs at once


• Good communication skills and a customer\-focused approach
