We are looking to recruit a Full time staff members to come join the team.
A passion for Reptiles is essential, A formal qualification in animal management/Zoology/Herpetology is preferred however not essential.
A long term knowledge based from a wide experience with Reptiles can be a better suit to us at times.
Initiative and ability to develop your own knowledge yourself is essential.
Level 3 animal qualification will be offered in house if you do not have a level 3\+ in an animal qualification.
Duties will include :
Animal care and husbandry to a high standard. Animal welfare is the top priority.
Advising customers on how to care for their reptiles and what equipment is required to maintain a healthy reptile for their lifetime.
Operating the Epos system.
Administration duties so the applicant must confident with basic computer skills eg Word, Excel etc.
Temperature, UVB and daily health checks to be recorded.
General shop duties, cleaning, tidying store.
Applicants must be able to work effectively and to a high standard independently and as part of the team at large.
Hours are between 38\-41 hours per week.
Monday to Saturday 9am \- 6pm
Sunday 10am \- 4pm
At least one weekend day will be required each week per successful applicant.
Salary exceeds NMW and can be discussed upon interview which is dependent on experience.
Any sort of unwillingness to work with animals we have in store, including invertabrates and snakes, will result in the application process being taken no further.

Pay: £26,000\.00\-£32,000\.00 per year
