Airport Logistics Operative

Job Overview
We are recruiting for an Airport Logistics Operative to join ASAP Aviation, part of ASAP Group — a company built on honesty, commitment, and delivering on customer promises 24/7, 365 days a year.

This is a hands\-on, operational role supporting airlines and passengers, ensuring the safe, secure, and timely movement of passenger luggage and goods between airside and landside environments.

The role includes multi\-drop deliveries so flexibility and strong route planning skills are essential.

You will play a key role in maintaining a reliable logistics service, combining driving, coordination, and customer\-facing responsibilities. The role requires flexibility, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to safety and service excellence.

Shift Pattern:

• 4 days on, 4 days off

Duties

• Collect and clear passenger luggage and goods from airside locations in line with airport and airline procedures


• Ensure full compliance with airside driving, safety, and security regulations


• Plan and carry out delivery routes in the most efficient and cost\-effective manner


• Coordinate with airlines, handling agents, and airport authorities to confirm logistics activity


• Allocate and oversee routes for third\-party delivery contractors


• Complete all scanning processes in line with IATA standards


• Safely drive a company van to transport goods between locations


• Load and unload luggage and goods, including heavy items, ensuring safe handling


• Provide a high level of customer service during all interactions


• Communicate effectively with management regarding progress, delays, or issues


• Carry out routine vehicle checks (tyres, fluids, lights, etc.) and report defects


• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and professionalism at all times


• Support general logistics and warehouse activities as required

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years continuous employment or verifiable self\-employed work history


• Full UK driving licence for manual vehicles (must be eligible for airside driving clearance)


• Proven experience in delivery, courier, or logistics operations


• Previous commercial driving experience is essential


• Ability to carry out manual handling and heavy lifting safely


• Strong communication and customer service skills


• Good time management and organisational ability


• Ability to work in a fast\-paced, regulated airport environment


• Flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic

Pay: £14\.94 per hour
