Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Self Employed Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems across various commercial and industrial sites. Duties
- Install, service, and repair a wide range of air conditioning units and systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and system diagrams to facilitate accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Conduct routine maintenance to optimise system performance and extend equipment lifespan.
- Diagnose faults using specialised tools and equipment, then execute repairs or replacements as necessary.
- Lead small teams during installation or maintenance projects, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new build projects to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly into building frameworks.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system conditions for future reference and compliance purposes.
- Provide technical advice and support to clients regarding system operation, maintenance schedules, and upgrades.
- Proven experience in air conditioning installation, maintenance, and repair within commercial or industrial environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation accurately.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with experience managing or guiding team members on site.
- Knowledge of equipment repair techniques specific to HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with construction processes related to HVAC installation projects.
- Excellent problem\-solving skills with the capacity to diagnose issues efficiently under pressure.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Air Conditioning \& Refrigeration or equivalent recognised certification.
