At Philips, our purpose is to improve people’s health and well\-being through meaningful innovation. We deliver superior, long\-term value to our customers and stakeholders, while acting responsibly towards our planet and society.
To achieve these ambitious targets, we focus on expanding access to care for underserved communities, driving towards a circular economy by embedding EcoDesign in our innovation processes, and supporting climate action by ensuring our emission reduction targets across our entire value chain are in line to limit global warming to below 1\.5 °C.
Philips is an industry frontrunner in these areas, recognized by investors, customers, supply chain partners, and talents seeking to work with us. To deliver on our ambitions, we need to use data, digital innovation, and AI more effectively to measure, manage, and communicate climate impact. As an AI Deployment Intern in the Climate Action team, you will contribute to embedding AI into day\-to\-day ways of working, developing market\-facing AI tools to assess climate impact across lifecycle stages, building a climate impact tool that enables businesses to quantify their contribution in line with our 2030 impact ambitions, and optimizing performance management processes to increase efficiency and decision\-making quality.
Responsibilities

- Contribute to the design and development of customer\-facing AI tools that help customers assess the climate impact of products and solutions across different lifecycle stages.
- Help build and improve a climate impact tool that enables businesses to quantify their climate impact and contribution to Philips’ 2030 impact ambitions, translating complex sustainability data into clear and actionable outputs.
- Optimize climate performance management processes by identifying opportunities to automate recurring tasks, improve KPI tracking, streamline reporting workflows, and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with function, market, and business stakeholders to translate user needs into practical AI\-enabled solutions.
- Support testing, validation, and documentation of AI tools to ensure outputs are reliable, understandable, and aligned with climate accounting principles, lifecycle thinking, and business requirements.
- Create clear training materials, demos, and communications to drive adoption of AI tools and embed them into day\-to\-day team routines and decision\-making processes.
- Degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Science, AI, Digital Innovation, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Passionate about sustainability, climate action, and the responsible deployment of AI to solve practical business challenges.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with data, structure problems, test assumptions, and translate insights into practical recommendations.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required; experience with Power BI, Power Query, Python, low\-code/no\-code tools, AI assistants, or workflow automation tools is a strong plus (e.g. CODEX).
- Basic understanding of climate impact, lifecycle thinking, carbon accounting, or sustainability reporting frameworks is preferred.
- Ability to translate user needs into clear tool requirements, simple process improvements, and engaging communication materials.
- Self\-starter with a proactive mindset, able to experiment, learn quickly, and drive actions independently while aligning with strategic objectives.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent English verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non\-technical teams.
- Hands\-on experience in deploying AI\-enabled tools in a global sustainability function and embedding them into day\-to\-day business processes.
- Exposure to climate impact assessment, lifecycle thinking, carbon accounting, and Philips’ 2030 impact ambitions.
