Agricultural Engineer
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail\-oriented Agricultural Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and repairing a wide range of equipment which would include a large number of trailers from livestock trailers through to plant trailers along with tractor drawn low loaders and grain trailers. As we are a trailer and grassland machinery dealer there would also be new trailers and grassland machinery to PDI. Someone with an agricultural background would be of an advance to this role, although not completely necessary.
Duties
- Service check over of trailers.
- PDI new trailers along with new grassland equipment.
- Inspect customers trailers along with being able to put a quote together for any repairs.
- As we are a high quality LED light stockist (UTV Products), you would regularly fit these products to agricultural and plant machinery.
- Unloading new machinery and parts when they arrive at the workshop.
- Ensuring the parts store is kept stocked and tidy.
- Help with the set up and dismantle of trade show stands.
- Occasional help at shows on the stand.
- Ensure a tidy and safe workshop/work space is maintained.
- Work alongside and communicate with customers, colleagues, manufacturers, and suppliers.
- Occasional trips out in the works van for breakdowns, repairs and delivery/collections.
- Prompt \& correct filling in of all paperwork – time sheets, job cards \& reports, etc.
- Strong proficiency in agricultural engineering \- at least 3 years
- Knowledge of agriculture
- Presentable appearance
- Strong worth ethic and punctuality
- Exceptional customer service
- To be able to work as art of a team and independently
- Able to write service sheets and quotes for customers or passing to office team
- Have the ability to work out quotes
- Experience with vehicle ramps
- Full, clean UK driving license
- Forklift licence (an advance but not necessity)
Salary \& benefits will reflect the ability and experience of the successful applicant \& will be agreed by negotiation.
