After School Support Worker

*Join our friendly Out of School Team!*

*We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our Out of School Team in Helensburgh. The successful candidate must be willing to complete a qualification in childcare.*

*Hrs: 25 each week*

*Monday to Friday 8am\-10am (Breakfast Club \& admin tasks)*

*Monday: 2\.30pm\-5pm*

*Tuesday:2\.30pm\-5\.15pm*

*Wednesday: 2\.30pm\-5\.30pm*

*Thursday: 2\.30pm\-5\.45pm*

*Friday:2\.30pm\-6pm*

*The successful candidate will also be expected to attend staff meetings, usually once a month at 1pm \-2\.30pm on a Wednesday.*

*Duties*

• *Supervise children during after school hours, ensuring their safety and well\-being at all times.*


• *Organise and lead engaging educational games, arts and crafts, or recreational activities.*


• *Support behavioural management by promoting positive interactions among children.*


• *Communicate effectively with parent/carers and other staff regarding children's progress or concerns.*


• *Maintain a clean and organised environment conducive to learning and play.*


• *Follow organisational policies and procedures related to child safety and safeguarding*

*Skills*

• *Prior experience in teaching or supporting children is highly desirable*


• *Strong organisational skills to manage multiple activities simultaneously*


• *Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written*


• *Ability to build trusting relationships with children and colleagues*


• *Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude towards young learners*


• *Ability to adapt activities to meet diverse needs of children*


• *Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.*
