WE’RE HIRING! \| Administration Assistant – Dispensary \& Switchboard
Nantwich Farm Vets is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and professional Administration Assistant to join our friendly support team.
We are a dedicated farm\-only veterinary practice, with 20 experienced vets working with farming customers across Cheshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire and North Wales. Our 9\-strong support team plays a vital role in providing the professional, responsive service our clients rely on.
Based just outside Nantwich, Cheshire
- This is a full\-time, 35\-hour per week position, Monday to Friday.
- 8:00am–5:00pm, with a 1\-hour unpaid lunch break
- One day per week: 8:00am–11:00am
- Saturday rota: approximately 8 Saturdays per year, working 8:30am–1:30pm
- 25 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays
- Salary dependent on experience
In the Dispensary, you will:
- Welcome farming clients and deal confidently with enquiries
- Process and fulfil veterinary medicine orders
- Manage stock levels and place daily supplier orders
- Receive, check and track deliveries
- Ensure veterinary medicines are stored correctly, including daily fridge temperature checks
- Take payments by phone, online and face\-to\-face
- Package and send biological samples to laboratories
- Provide general administrative support, including filing and photocopying
- Be the main point of contact for our farming clients by telephone
- Communicate with our vets by telephone and radio
- Manage diaries and coordinate farm visits
- Handle emergency calls and forward\-plan appointments
- Receive medicine orders from vets and farmers

✔ A strong team player who enjoys working in a busy environment
✔ Computer literate, with good Microsoft Office and Google skills
✔ Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
✔ Reliable, punctual and flexible
✔ Comfortable working with changing priorities and shift patterns
Previous experience using a CRM system would be useful, but full training will be provided. Familiarity with agricultural terminology and local geography is essential.
