Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Additional Support Needs Assistant (1\-2\-1\) to join our team at Kites Nursery in the Newport area. In this vital role, you will contribute to creating an inclusive environment that nurtures a child with additional support needs, ensuring they receive personalized care and attention aligned with our mission of quality childcare.
Responsibilities

• Support a child with additional and medical needs


• Collaborate closely with leaders and parents to develop tailored support plans.


• Assist in implementing educational activities that promote social and emotional development.


• Foster a safe and inclusive environment where every child feels valued.


• Monitor and record progress of children receiving support.


• Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and families to ensure consistent care.


• Contribute to the planning and organization of inclusive activities.


• Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate patience and understanding at all times.


• Qualifications Level 3 CCLPD


• Proven experience working with children, especially those with special educational needs.


• Knowledge of autism, global delay and or epilepsy is beneficial


• Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with children, parents, and team members.


• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.


• Compassionate approach towards supporting children's individual needs.


• Relevant qualifications in childcare or special education are preferred.


• Experience in toddler care is advantageous.


• Commitment to promoting an inclusive learning environment.
