Activity Coordinator

About the Role

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and compassionate Activity Coordinator to join our team. Working under the guidance of the Activity Lead, you will support the delivery of a varied and engaging programme of activities that enhance the wellbeing, independence and quality of life of our residents.

This is a hands\-on role where no two days are the same—you’ll be bringing energy, ideas and meaningful experiences to the people we support.

Key Responsibilities

• Support in the planning and delivery a wide range of group and one\-to\-one activities


• Support residents to take part in meaningful, person\-centred activities based on their interests and life history


• Create a fun, inclusive and stimulating environment that encourages participation


• Work closely with the Activity Lead to ensure a full and engaging activity programme


• Organise themed events, celebrations and occasional outings


• Engage with residents, families and the wider team to gather feedback and improve activities


• Maintain accurate records of participation and engagement


• Support communication with families, including sharing updates where appropriate


• Ensure all activities are delivered safely and in line with care plans and risk assessments

We are looking for someone who:

• Works well within a team


• Has a creative and positive approach


• Enjoys working with older people and understands person\-centred care


• Has good communication and interpersonal skills


• Is organised, reliable and able to plan ahead


• Can work independently


• Has a genuine passion for improving the wellbeing of others

• Experience in a care home or similar setting


• Background in activities, care, or wellbeing roles


• Skills or interests in arts, crafts, music, or similar

• A supportive and friendly working environment

• This role includes weekend working on a rota basis


• Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service

Pay: £12\.71 per hour
