ACP / ANP for UTC

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) / Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to cover locum sessions for an Urgent Treatment Centre. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high\-quality patient care, supporting clinical decision\-making, and enhancing service delivery. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced nursing professionals committed to advancing their clinical skills and making a positive impact on patient outcomes. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans in a fast\-paced environment. These shifts are all booked via a rota which is released up to 8 weeks in advance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history\-taking and physical examinations


• Conduct Telephone triage calls


• Conduct Home visits with a supplied driver


• Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of all clinical encounters

Requirements

• Proven experience in patient care within a OOH or UTC setting, preferably with advanced practice qualifications


• Worked with Adastra / Emis Web (Desirable)


• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams


• Ability to work independently whilst maintaining collaborative team relationships


• Relevant professional registration (e.g., NMC registration for nurses)


• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with current clinical practices
