Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Manager to join our team in the UK. Based in Maldon, this role is vital in overseeing financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records. The Accounts Manager will play a key part in supporting our company's growth and maintaining our reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage day\-to\-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with UK accounting standards.
- Utilize accounting software Sage, Sage Payroll to maintain accurate financial data.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth.
- Preparation of budgets \& financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, expenditure, cash flow forecast \& tax returns.
- Maintain day to day management of the company’s finances \& oversee all accounting procedures \& systems used by the company.
- Manage company supplier payments to include daily entry of supplier invoices, Credit Limits \& collection of monies owed to the company in a timely manner.
- Daily reconciliation of bank, sage pay, PayPal \& Klarna.
- Monthly petty cash reconciliation.
- Prepare statutory and management accounts.
- Produce financial statements including P\&L accounts \& cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
- Calculation, presentation, and payment of VAT return.
- Payroll
- Proven experience as an Accounts Manager or similar role within the UK.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (Sage 50\)
- Solid understanding of financial management and accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to mentor team members and work collaboratively.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
