The Role

As Accounts Manager, you will deliver a first\-class service from start to finish, ensuring compliance with the standards set by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Whilst managing and developing an experienced and professional Accounts team, you will work closely with senior managers and partners to shape the future of business.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage and develop a portfolio of clients, taking the lead with relationship management and working closely with Partners

· As part of the management team, you will provide an outstanding professional, technically compliant and efficiently tailored service to clients;

o Planning and co\-ordinating all aspects of Accounts, organisation of work allocation, workflow, processes and resources for the team

o Ensuring all team members are supervised

o Arranging file reviews within agreed time schedules to ensure quality and a standardised approach

o Controlling client allocation in relation to timescales, budgets and risk management procedures

· Drive a high performance and development culture within the team, through coaching and development, performance appraisals and inspirational leadership

· Providing technical assistance (accounting and taxation) and performing technical checks

· Dealing with any concerns regarding accounts preparation / assignments with Partners, and adhering to risk management policies and procedures

· Workflow management and continuous process improvement

· Building internal relationships with managers and key stakeholders across the practice

· Support the Partners to develop a strategy that will support the firms’ growth plans and identify opportunities to add value to existing client portfolio

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, detail\-focused, and enjoys working in a fast\-paced environment.

You'll ideally be:

· A highly motivated and forward\-thinking individual looking for an opportunity to move to the next level in their career.

· Professional with a refreshing, down\-to\-earth attitude and great at communication skills

· Qualified, or part qualified with experience of working in a Practice environment and enjoy the challenge of a varied role with scope to develop the existing business portfolio

· Excellent organisational and planning skills

· IT literate

· Strong technical ability with up\-to\-date detailed knowledge of UK Accounting and Taxation standards

· Experience in using accounting software including CCH and Xero
