Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail oriented Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting accounts payable processes, and ensuring smooth day\-to\-day financial operations. Your enthusiasm for numbers and commitment to precision will help us uphold the integrity of our financial data and contribute to the overall efficiency of our accounting functions. Duties
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft
- Perform data entry tasks related to financial transactions, maintaining organized and up\-to\-date records
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly to maintain strong vendor relationships
- Assist with month\-end closing procedures by preparing reports and supporting documentation
- Support the use of financial systems like Workday or Xero to streamline accounting operations
- Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and audit requirements
- Collaborate with team members to improve workflow efficiencies and implement best practices in accounts management
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and data entry procedures
- Familiarity with financial services industry standards and practices
- Ability to work efficiently with systems like Workday or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams
- Prior experience in a finance or accounting role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
