Accounts & Admin Supervisor
Based in Milton Keynes
£30,000 - £37,000 pa

Our client based in Milton Keynes seek an Accounts & Admin Supervisor to oversee the smoothing running of the accounts and admin function for a thriving manufacturing company.
Part of a well established team this position will require leadership experience, the ability to manage a small team as well as having ownership of administrative tasks.

Responsible for the accounts and admin function to include Accounts, Credit Control, Purchasing and Administration.

Accounts

  • Maintaining amounts in bank accounts to ensure sufficient funds for outgoing payments

  • Completing Bank Journals at Month End

  • Carrying out and finalising Month End Procedures

  • Overseeing the Checking and Processing of Employee Expenses

  • Maintaining Concur Software

  • Processing Payments to Suppliers and Employees

  • Gathering and submitting information for Reclaim of VAT paid in Europe

  • Mentoring team on AP and AR Best Practice and Processes

  • Maintaining Global intercompany relationships and transactions

Credit Control
  • Oversee the process of ensuring customers pay invoices in timely manner

  • Dealing with escalation of late paying customers

  • Liaising with sales teams regarding issues with customer nonpayment

  • Placing customers on stop when required.

  • Monitoring payment patterns for signs of risk

  • Analysing credit limits and reducing overdue

  • Following guidelines on customer performance provided by HQ finance

  • Reporting monthly on AR

Purchasing
  • Management of suppliers in terms of pricing and lead times

  • Updating Third Party Document log, ensuring we have up to date documents

  • Sourcing alternative suppliers and alternative products

  • Actively reducing costs

Admin
  • Ensuring Working Instructions are kept up to date

  • Booking Hotel Accommodation for trade shows

  • Claims management

Supervising Accounts Assistants, including annual appraisals, return to work interviews, performance improvement generally.
Involvement in streamlining and improving departmental processes and efficiencies. Staff development and training, overall improvements of the department.

Experience of the above is essential, organised with attention to detail. Be confident and personable, building effective relationships throughout the business.
