As an Accountant, you’ll work in close collaboration with the Finance team. You will play a key role in ensuring our financial records are accurate, compliant, and up to date. As we are bringing our accounting fully in\-house, this is a unique opportunity to help build and shape our finance department. This is a hands\-on role well\-suited to someone early in their accounting career who is eager to build expertise in Belgian \& international accounting and tax compliance within a fast\-growing company.

Responsibilities:

• Daily bookkeeping \& Payment Reconciliation:

+ Reconcile incoming and outgoing payments regularly to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
+ Monitor and follow up on outstanding items to keep the books clean and current.
+ Support the monthly and annual financial closing process in collaboration with the Finance team.

• Accounts Payable \& Invoice Processing:

+ Review and record all incoming invoices and expense requests in accordance with Belgian GAAP standards.
+ Ensure correct coding, approval workflows, and timely posting of supplier invoices.
+ Maintain well\-organized records of invoices and supporting documentation as we scale.

• Tax \& Compliance:

+ Ensure VAT treatment is applied correctly on all relevant transactions and support periodic VAT filings.
+ Assist with Corporate Income Tax preparations, ensure transactions are recorded in line with Belgian tax regulations, and support compliance across the international jurisdictions in which Aikido operates.
+ Stay up to date with relevant changes in Belgian accounting and tax legislation.

• Support ad hoc projects and analyses, collaborate with the Finance department to automate operational finance processes, and help build the financial infrastructure to support our international growth.


• A first experience in an accounting role, ideally within a Belgian (SaaS) company.


• Solid understanding of BE GAAP, Belgian VAT regulations, and Corporate Income Tax.


• Close attention to detail and strong organizational and professional skills


• Sincere, trustworthy, and discreet in handling sensitive financial information


• You need to be based in Belgium (given all the accounting, VAT, balance sheet, … regulations).


• Plus: knowledge of SaaS billing \& subscription systems (e.g., Chargebee, Hubspot,…)


• Plus: experience with Exact Online
