Overview of the Role
Our Account Managers are responsible for managing, developing, and growing key client accounts while supporting the wider sales function across the business.
This role goes beyond account maintenance. You will be expected to identify, create, and convert growth opportunities within existing accounts to increase revenue, strengthen client partnerships, and expand AppLocum’s footprint across healthcare providers.
You will act as a trusted partner to clients, understanding workforce challenges, identifying gaps in service provision, and proactively promoting AppLocum’s technology solutions and staffing services.
A key expectation of this role is commercial growth across your accounts, including increasing invoiced revenue, improving platform usage, expanding clinician engagement, and introducing additional AppLocum solutions.
This is a proactive, results\-driven role suited to someone motivated by targets, relationship building, and measurable business impact.
You will also be required to participate in a 1\-in\-8 weekend and evening on\-call rota to manage cancellations and urgent client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of existing client accounts and drive revenue growth, engagement, and service expansion
- Identify gaps, workforce challenges, and opportunities within accounts and position AppLocum solutions effectively
- Increase invoiced revenue across assigned accounts through growth, adoption, and account penetration
- Expand engagement across larger provider groups, multiple sites, and departments
- Increase the number of approved clinicians working within client services and improve fulfilment performance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision\-makers and stakeholders
- Re\-engage dormant or underutilised accounts and restore activity levels
- Demonstrate strong commercial awareness, including market trends and competitor activity
- Consistently meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets and KPIs
- Manage multiple accounts with a focus on retention, satisfaction, and growth
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering responsive and solution\-focused support
- Analyse account performance and usage trends to identify growth opportunities
- Deliver onboarding, training, and demonstrations of the AppConnect platform
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain strong knowledge of AppLocum services and technology solutions
- Proven ability to grow revenue within existing accounts
- Confident in commercial conversations and stakeholder engagement
- Strong ability to identify and convert opportunities into measurable outcomes

- Ability to balance service delivery with proactive sales growth
Essential Skills \& Experience
- Experience in account management, sales, or client success role
- Strong communication and relationship\-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
- Confident working towards targets and KPIs
- Strong IT literacy (Microsoft Office, CRM systems, online platforms)
- Proactive, self\-motivated, and results\-driven approach
- Experience within healthcare recruitment or primary care
- B2B sales or high\-growth environment experience
- Experience working with digital platforms or workforce technology
- Strong team player who contributes to a positive working culture
- Resilient and comfortable working in a fast\-paced environment
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
