Account Executive
Purpose
The Account Executive will work as part of a team under the direction of the Customer Services Manager to deliver a consistently high level of customer service.
Background
Established since 1948, P F Ahern (London) Ltd are an independent family owned waste management company based in Thurrock, Essex.
From our purpose built Materials Recovery Centre in West Thurrock we manage a fleet of over 30 waste collection vehicles which service waste producers in the East London and South Essex areas.
We are one of a few remaining independent waste companies and our service levels set us above our competition.
You will work under the direction of the Customer Services Manager to ensure the customer experience remains second to none, working alongside the transport team delivering a cost effective, no hassle, quick and efficient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer telephone calls, processing orders, deal with customer enquiries using a case management system, assist visitors/deliveries
- Work in line with KPI’s and Job Duties
- General administration duties
- Working in line with company Policies and Procedures
- Determines customer service requirements by maintaining contact with customers ensuring details are up to date and encouraging upselling facilitating organic growth.
- Maintain an orderly workflow according to priorities and ensure company expectations are delivered.
- Work with Transport Managers and Customer Services Manager to deliver a high standard of customer service dealing with job issues, ensuring transactions are delivered on time and the customer experience is second to none.
- Under the guidance of the Customer Service Manager, keep up to date with legislation and help our customers understand / provide them with a simple solution
- Help our customer classify their waste in line with the hazardous/special waste procedure
- Provide quotations for hazardous/special waste including providing all correct paperwork
- Under the guidance of the Customer Service Manager ensure we/our customers are compliant with current legislation.

- Computer literate with experience in MS packages and ability to learn new systems

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum GSCE English \& Mathematics equivalent grade C or above
- Minimum 2 years experience in customer service
