The Bastion will be a destination in its own right, combining stylish interiors, striking castle views, speciality cocktails and relaxed yet refined dining. Its menus will celebrate the exceptional food of the Boyne Valley, showcasing quality local produce and suppliers through creative, flavour\-led dishes, modern gastro\-style dining and an outstanding Sunday carvery.

We are now seeking an experienced Accommodation Manager. Reporting to the General Manager, the Accommodation Manager will be responsible for the overall cleanliness and maintenance of our guest rooms/public areas and for maintaining the highest standards.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Oversee the housekeeping team, including Accommodation Assistants, Accommodation Porters, laundry staff, and other cleaning personnel. Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back\-of\-house spaces are cleaned and maintained according to established standards. Monitor the implementation of cleaning procedures and inspect rooms regularly for quality assurance.

Manage housekeeping supplies and inventory, including cleaning products, linens, and guest amenities. Maintain par levels and initiate purchase orders as needed to avoid stock shortages.

Create and maintain staff roster, taking into account occupancy levels, special events, and any other factors that may impact staffing requirements. Ensure adequate coverage at all times to meet guest needs.

Provide training to accommodation team on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service standards. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance employee skills and maintain a high level of service.

Work to achieve high guest satisfaction scores by promptly addressing guest concerns related to housekeeping and cleanliness. Take appropriate corrective actions to resolve issues and maintain a positive guest experience.

Ensure that accommodation staff adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Promote a safe work environment and report any potential hazards or incidents.

Monitor department expenses and labour costs to stay within budgetary guidelines. Implement cost\-saving measures without compromising quality and guest satisfaction.

Maintain effective communication with other departments, such as front office and maintenance, to ensure smooth coordination of guest services and maintenance requests.

This role is full time, any 5 days over a 7 day working week, benefits apply.
