2nd Engineer (2/E) – Container Vessel – Worldwide

\*\*Description\*\*

2nd Engineer required for container vessel trading worldwide. Sailing under Singapore flag. Responsible for safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all engine room machinery and systems, under the direction of the Chief Engineer.

\*\*Key Responsibilities\*\*

• Assist Chief Engineer in day\-to\-day engine room operations


• Operate, monitor and maintain main engine, auxiliary engines and all associated machinery


• Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance


• Supervise engine room ratings and ensure safe working practices


• Maintain engine room records, logs and reports as required


• Ensure compliance with flag, class and international regulations


• Support vessel’s safety, environmental and emergency procedures

• Minimum 1 year sea service as 2/E on container vessels (6 months minimum on type)


• Valid STCW Class 1 CoC / CoP (Motor)


• All mandatory STCW certificates valid as per rank and trade


• Medically fit for duty as per STCW / flag requirements


• Good command of spoken and written English
