We serve a population of 900,000, providing a range of primary, community based and acute hospital services. We also provide regional and national services across a range of clinical specialties.

The vision for the Pharmacy \& Medicines service is to deliver clinically led, person\-centred services to ensure patients across Lothian get the best from their medicines and pharmacy services. We are focussed on creating an environment where each person in the team can flourish, develop, and make best use of their skills.

We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated individual to work has an Assistant Procurement Officer. You should have SVQ Level 2 (Pharmaceutical Sciences minimum of one unit) / level 5 SCQF / national 5 or General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) standard of competence for pharmacy support staff.

What will I do?

  • Participate in the ordering of hospital medicines to ensure receipt from approved suppliers within agreed timescales, for a growing Purchasing \& Invoicing service.

  • Liaise with suppliers to investigate and record supply problems to ensure these are communicated to pharmacy staff

  • Administrative duties including scanning, photocopying, filing, and maintaining stockholding records
