<p><strong><u>Structured Finance (SF) Ratings Summer 2027 Internship</u><br><br><u>Overview/Summary:</u></strong></p>
<p>KBRA is seeking talented individuals to join our 10-week summer internship program, hosted from June 2 through August 5, 2027. This internship will provide you with the opportunity to gain firsthand experience at the market’s fastest growing credit rating agency and to learn valuable skills coveted in any corporate setting. This internship will be based out of our New York office. Interns are expected to be in-person four days per week (Monday through Thursday) and have the option to work remotely on Fridays. The application deadline is September 30, 2026. </p>
<p>As an intern, you will be assigned to support one of KBRA’s<strong> Structured Finance credit rating teams. </strong>Structured Finance (aka securitization) is a form of financing where assets are transferred to a “special-purpose entity,” which issues debt that is independent of the asset originator. KBRA’s Structured Finance Group has four broad sub-groups: Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS), Residential Mortgage-Back Securities (RMBS), and Structured Credit.</p>

<p><strong><u>Key responsibilities may include:</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Gathering, inputting, and analyzing data in support of team operations.</li>
<li>Assisting in surveillance &amp; new issuance deal workflow</li>
<li>Supporting analysts in the preparation of credit committee materials</li>
<li>Testing analytical models and tools</li>
<li>Working on sample credit reports</li>
<li>Presenting mock transactions in committee style settings</li>
</ul>
<p>In addition to the work you will complete within your assigned department, there will be a capstone project to be presented to senior staff at the end of the internship. This project is meant to be an opportunity to apply existing skills and knowledge as well as what has been learned throughout the summer. There will also be opportunities to meet and interact with your fellow interns through Lunch and Learns, social events, and other enrichment workshops.</p>

<p><strong><u>Successful candidates will possess the following:</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Undergraduate concentration in finance, accounting, business, economics, or real estate</li>
<li>Exceptional attention to detail</li>
<li>A strong desire to learn data and finance analysis</li>
<li>Proficiency in Excel</li>
<li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal</li>
<li>Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as work closely with others in a collaborative environment</li>
<li>Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and general productivity is a plus.</li>

<p><strong><u>Base Pay</u></strong></p>
<p>The anticipated base pay rate for the role will be $26/hour at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis by factors such as experience, level of education, skills, geography and other job-related factors.</p>
