Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated IT Helpdesk Engineer to provide technical support and assistance to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving hardware and software issues, supporting end\-users, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about technology and customer service to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.

This job will predominantly be office based but will require trips to client sites on a regular basis, therefore a car owner and full uk driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to IT support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end\-users.

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.

  • Assist with setting up new equipment and ensuring proper functioning before deployment.

  • Document solutions and maintain accurate records of support activities.

  • Provide guidance and training to users on IT best practices and system utilisation.

  • Collaborate with the IT team on projects aimed at improving infrastructure and security.

  • Escalate complex issues to senior technical staff when necessary.

  • Attend client sites as required to resolve issues and install equipment.
Skills
  • Proven experience in a helpdesk or technical support role is preferred but not essential.

  • Strong knowledge of primarily Windows, but also macOS, and good knowledge of Microsoft 365 Admin would be an advantage.

  • Familiarity with networking concepts such as LAN, WAN, VPNs, and firewalls.

  • Excellent problem\-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.

  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical issues clearly to non\-technical users.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Nice\-to\-have: certifications such as CompTIA A\+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or similar qualifications.   • Full UK Driving Licence and a car so you can travel to sites.
Pay: £24,420\.00\-£29,000\.00 per year
