About the Role
We are looking for a calm, dependable, and compassionate individual to support a bright, polite, and cheerful man in his late 30s, who has a positive, young\-at\-heart outlook.
He has a physical disability affecting bone strength and uses a specialist wheelchair for his mobility and independence, along with a wheelchair\-accessible vehicle.
Role Overview
The role involves providing support in a welcoming and safe home environment, assisting with daily routines, meaningful activities and enjoyable days out, and occasional medical appointments.
Ideal for parents seeking consistent, family\-friendly hours that fit around school schedules and childcare commitments, as well as stay\-at\-home parents looking for a flexible and rewarding opportunity.
Home Environment
The service user takes pride in maintaining a clean, tidy and well\-organised environment, vehicle, and personal presentation.
He lives at home with his mother and is also supported by his primary carer at different times throughout the week.

Schedule 1 (18 hours per week)
- Wednesdays and Fridays: 09:00 \- 16:30
- Sundays: 14:00 \- 20:00 (Alternate Weeks)
- Wednesdays and Fridays: 09:00 \- 15:00
- Sundays: 14:00 \- 20:00 (Every Week)

Key Responsibilities
- Personal care (toileting, bathing, dressing).
- Light household tasks and running odd errands.
- Activities include visits to coffee shops, garden centres, shopping, local seaside towns, walks, and a range of local attractions.
- Driving an automatic vehicle as part of the role (you will be fully insured, must be a confident driver, including motorway travel).
- Kind, patient, and reliable approach.
- Organised and proactive attitude.
- Respectful and consistent manner.
- Comfortable supporting personal care needs.
- Previous care experience helps but is not essential (full training provided).
- Paid DBS check.
- Free paid training, including moving and handling.
- Enhanced Sunday pay.

Applicants must live within 12 miles of Accrington, including areas such as Blackburn, Rossendale, and Ramsbottom. Applications outside this area will not be considered.
