The 0–19 Public Health Nursing Service Lead is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across Health Visiting, School Nursing, and the Family Nurse Partnership, ensuring delivery of a high\-quality, evidence\-based service for children, young people, and families.

This role leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of integrated 0–19 services in line with commissioned specifications, working closely with commissioners, partners, and stakeholders to improve health outcomes. The post holder translates organisational priorities into effective local delivery, drives service improvement and integration, and ensures the workforce, performance, and quality standards support safe, responsive, and person\-centred care.

The role is responsible for overseeing service performance, quality, and workforce management, whilst working collaboratively with commissioners, partners, and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement. The post holder also leads the development and integration of services, supports evidence\-based practice, and ensures that organisational priorities are translated into high\-quality, responsive care for children, young people, and families.

The role will also be pivotal in responding to emerging strategic developments, including the Family First initiative, supporting the transformation towards more integrated, prevention\-focused, and family\-centred models of care across the system

Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust provides community\-based health services for adults and children in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, and some services in surrounding areas too. These range from district nursing, health visiting and running four community hospitals through to providing very specialist community care through talented and dedicated staff.
