Over the past 50 years our 1,400 acre estate has gone from strength\-to\-strength and now boasts 70 bedrooms, two luxury self\-catering cottages, The View Restaurant, Macleod’s Bar Lounge and a Five\-Bubble rated spa, as well as an array of on\-site activities such as clay pigeon shooting, Land Rover Experience, archery, fishing, e\-biking and walking.

The Coniston Hotel Country Estate Spa is seeking an experienced Bar Assistant to support our growing FB department.

Reporting to the Food Beverage Operations Manager, you will play a key role in the day\-to\-day operation of our diverse food and beverage offering. This includes The View Restaurant MacLeod’s Bar Lounge,

You’ll be joining a supportive team and working closely with the Food Beverage Operations Manager to deliver outstanding service standards and operational excellence across the hotel bars.

Role Overview

The main aim of the role is to manage the bar service to a consistently high standard, ensuring that the bar staff provide an excellent service which exceeds customer expectations.

You will:

• + Prepare and Serve Beverages: Efficiently prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non\-alcoholic drinks, ensuring proper techniques and presentation standards are followed.

+ Maintain Stock and Supplies: Monitor bar inventory, restock supplies, and inform management of shortages to ensure smooth operations during shifts.
+ Advise on Drink Selection: Provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers about drink options, including cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits, to enhance their experience.
+ Ensure Bar Cleanliness and Compliance: Maintain a clean and organised bar area, adhering to health, safety, and licensing regulations at all times.

We’re looking for an experienced bar tender who thrives in a fast\-paced, multi\-outlet environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service.

You will be:

• An experienced bartender


• A confident and hands\-on individual who enjoys being present within the operation and supporting the team


• Experienced in managing high\-volume service


• Passionate about guest experience and maintaining consistently high service standards


• Someone who understands POS and till management


• A strong background of stock control and cellar management

What you’ll receive

£12\.71 per hour \+ service charge

Zero hours basis
