Youth Support Worker - Summer Holiday Activities and Food Programme
Job Summary
Do you love inspiring young people to be active, creative, and confident? Join our team for the Holiday Activities and Food Programme, and assist with the delivery of fun, hands on sessions including sports, dance, arts \& crafts, music, gaming, cooking, and more!
We have 16 days of work available, based on 4 days per week over a 4\-week period.
Responsibilities
- Assist staff in delivering sports, arts \& crafts, music, gaming, cooking, and other activities.
- Act as a positive role model, demonstrating appropriate behaviour and communication skills
- Support children and young people with varying abilities, including SEND provision.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support young people's needs
- Supervise and engage with young people in various activities, ensuring their safety and well\-being at all times
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment.
- Encourage participation, teamwork, and social interaction.
- Provide 1\-to\-1 or small group support as needed.
- Enthusiastic, patient, and reliable individuals.
- Enjoy working with children and teens.
- Confident with engaging and using behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with diverse groups of young people
- Flexible and supportive team players who can adapt to different needs.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment
