Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council’s Children and Young People’s Service are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to take on the role of Youth Services Manager, leading the operational delivery of a highly successful and well respected Youth Engagement and Participation Service which comprises over 60 full time and part time staff.
This is a key senior role within our Community Wellbeing and Resilience Service, where you will shape and drive high\-quality services that make a real difference to the lives of young people aged 11–25\.
As Youth Services Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to a multi\-disciplinary team ensuring services are well\-coordinated, evidence\-led and responsive to local needs. You will oversee the development and delivery of innovative interventions, manage resources effectively, and ensure the Council meets its statutory responsibilities for youth provision.
Working collaboratively with key partners including South Wales Police, Welsh Government, and the third sector, you will play a central role in building strong partnerships and delivering integrated services that improve outcomes for young people and communities. You will also lead on the Youth Support Services Strategy, ensuring that the voice of young people informs service design and development.
This role requires a confident and motivating leader with experience in and passion for managing youth services, developing teams, and delivering measurable impact which improve outcomes for young people. You will bring excellent communication and partnership skills, alongside the ability to manage budgets, secure funding and drive continuous improvement across services.
The working pattern is 37 hours per week Monday\-Friday, working to an agile model; based at Ty Elai a minimum of 1 day a week with a combination of home working and attending various community/RCTCBC venues for the remainder and in accordance with service need. Therefore, flexibility is essential for the successful undertaking of this post.
