Year 3 Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Hodge Hill, Birmingham from September 2026.

This is a full-time, long-term position supporting pupils within a Year 3 classroom, working closely with the class teacher to help deliver engaging lessons and promote positive learning outcomes.

As a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning activities


• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning


• Assist with classroom preparation and organisation


• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development


• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement within lessons


• Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment


• Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and development

The school is seeking a Teaching Assistant who:

• Has previous experience working within a primary school setting


• Has experience supporting Key Stage 2 pupils, ideally Year 3


• Is patient, caring and committed to helping children achieve their potential


• Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Can work effectively as part of a team


• Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
