Yard Operative (Temporary)

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to join our well-established client based in Broxburn, West Lothian.

This is a temporary opportunity starting on 10th June, ideal for candidates who enjoy working outdoors and are comfortable with physical work in a busy yard environment.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a Yard Worker, Yard Labourer or Logistics Yard Operative.

Shifts: Monday to Friday: 7.00am - 4.30pm

Pay rate: £12.71 per hour Benefits: Your benefits as a Yard Operative are:

Day-to-Day Duties: As a Yard Operative, your duties will include:

• Supporting FLT Drivers with daily yard operations


• Lifting, carrying and moving roofing materials around the yard


• Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries


• Organising stock and maintaining tidy storage areas


• Supporting general yard duties as required


• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently

Essential Skills: The skills required as a Yard Operative are:

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling


• Reliable and punctual


• Ability to work safely in a busy outdoor environment


• Good communication skills


• Strong work ethic and willingness to support the wider team

Desirable Experience: • Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, construction, or labouring environment is advantageous but not essential.
Training: • Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
