Yard/Warehouse \& Logistics Co\-Ordinator
Reporting to: Company Directors
We are seeking to employ an experienced, hands\-on yard \& warehouse operative who also has basic IT skills and is competent in operating a forklift. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude and be flexible with their daily tasks.
In our growing business, plans may change, so you will be required to carry out warehouse duties as well as sometimes making deliveries in what can often be a fast\-paced environment. This can be a physically demanding role.
Core Duties (Yard/Warehouse)
\- Operating the forklift, putting stock away and ensuring both warehouse and yard areas are kept in an orderly manner
\- Off\-loading goods inward vehicles and putting barrels, boxes and pails away in the relevant locations within the yard \& warehouse
\- Decanting bulk product from bulk IBCs into barrels \& 20L drums
\- Ensuring decanted products are labelled correctly
\- Picking stock \& loading delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, utilising pallets, ratchet straps and shrink wrap machine
\- Conduct monthly stock takes \& report findings to the Commercial Director
Core Duties (Office/Computer)
\- Scheduling driver deliveries each day
\- Receipting stock onto the computer system once deliveries have arrived
\- Confirming delivery tickets once goods have been delivered
\- Report any stock which has been used internally
\- Record all stock adjustments and amend on the system once product has been decanted
\- Book couriers and track the whole process from start to finish, advising Customer Service when the courier has completed the delivery
Additional Duties
\- Carrying out deliveries during busy periods / covering annual leave for drivers
\- Ensure vehicles are kept clean and tidy, and report any defects
\- Assisting with other duties as required by your line managers
Requirements
\- Full clean UK driving licence (essential)
\- Previous experience operating a forklift (desirable)
\- Previous experience either working in a warehouse or managing stock
\- Knowledge of the Midlands region (desirable)
Remuneration
\- £27,000 to £29,000 per annum depending on experience
\- Statutory Pension Scheme
\- Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, typically 08:30 – 17:00 although earlier start and finish times may be required
\- 30 minute lunch break
\- 20 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays
