The Forklift Company Limited is expanding — and we're looking for a Workshop / Field Service Engineer to join our established engineering team.
We're the UK's Main Dealer of SAMUK forklift trucks, operating a fleet of 1,000\+ machines across the country.

What You'll Be Doing
Based from our fully equipped workshop, you'll work on a varied range of forklift trucks and material\-handling equipment.
Your role will include:
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Servicing and maintaining forklift trucks.
- Carrying out preventative maintenance.
- Preparing machines for customer sale and delivery.
- Completing Pre\-Delivery Inspections (PDIs).
- Ensuring every machine leaves the workshop safe, reliable and fit for purpose.
- Maintaining our large contract hire fleet.
- Repairing and servicing customers' own equipment.
We keep our engineers focused on engineering.
LOLER Thorough Examinations, battery repairs, charger faults and hydraulic hose work are outsourced to specialist contractors, allowing you to concentrate on the repairs, servicing and diagnostics you do best.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an engineer who knows their trade, takes pride in their work and enjoys solving problems.
You'll need:
- 3\+ years' experience in forklift, plant or similar engineering.
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic ability.
- Forklift experience is highly desirable.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience is advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- High standards of workmanship.
- Good communication skills.
- A professional, reliable and flexible attitude.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Up to £48,000 salary depending on hours worked and experience
