Location: Middleton Cheney, with travel throughout the UK and Europe

The Role

Addex Group is looking for a practical, proactive Workshop \& Mobile Service Engineer to join our growing technical team.

This is a varied, hands\-on role involving the building, commissioning, servicing and repair of industrial cleaning equipment. You will work from our workshop in Middleton Cheney and travel to customer sites throughout the UK and occasionally Europe.

The position would suit an experienced service engineer who enjoys fault\-finding, takes pride in their workmanship and is comfortable dealing directly with customers. Experience with industrial cleaning equipment would be beneficial, but product\-specific training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building and commissioning new machines and equipment.


• Carrying out planned servicing and preventative maintenance.


• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and low\-voltage electrical faults.


• Attending customer sites throughout the UK and Europe.


• Testing equipment to ensure it is safe and operating correctly.


• Providing clear and practical operator training to customers.


• Completing accurate, professional service reports within 24 hours.


• Maintaining company tools, test equipment and any company vehicle provided.


• Identifying recurring faults and suggesting practical improvements.


• Supporting workshop activities, machine preparation and product development when required.


• Representing Addex Group professionally while working at customer premises.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• Practical mechanical engineering or service experience.


• A good working knowledge of low\-voltage electrical systems.


• Strong fault\-finding and problem\-solving skills.


• The ability to work independently and manage jobs effectively.


• A careful, methodical approach to servicing and repairs.


• Good communication and customer\-facing skills.


• Basic computer skills for completing reports and accessing technical information.


• A full UK driving licence.


• A valid passport and willingness to travel and stay away from home when required.

What Success Looks Like

The successful engineer will be expected to:

• Deliver consistently high\-quality workmanship.


• Achieve a strong first\-time fix rate wherever reasonably possible.


• Complete service reports accurately and within 24 hours.


• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams.


• Maintain excellent customer satisfaction.


• Look after company vehicles, tools and equipment.


• Work safely and follow company procedures.


• Support continuous improvement by sharing technical feedback and identifying better ways of working.

Pay: £35,000\.00\-£45,000\.00 per year
