Location: Oldbury, West Midlands. Salary: From £13\.00 per hour (Band 1\), increasing by £1 per hour at each band level Full Time \| Permanent
We are currently recruiting for:
- 6 x Band 1 Workshop Engineers
- 3 x Band 3 Workshop Engineers
The Role
As a Workshop Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring customer equipment is maintained, repaired and operating safely and efficiently. Working within our busy workshop environment, you'll be involved in a variety of engineering tasks whilst receiving ongoing support and development opportunities.
This is a hands\-on position offering excellent career progression within a well\-established and expanding business.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out installation, repair and preventative maintenance work on customer equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Ensure all work is completed to company and industry standards.
- Adhere to all Health \& Safety policies and procedures.
- Accurately complete worksheets, timesheets and service documentation.
- Maintain tools, equipment and work areas to a high standard.
- Report defects, safety concerns and equipment issues promptly.
- Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Support and mentor apprentices and less experienced team members where required.
- Undertake additional responsibilities to support workshop operations.
Essential
- Experience working within a workshop, engineering, vehicle maintenance or similar technical environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent fault\-finding skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Tail lift, shutter or commercial vehicle equipment experience.
- LOLER qualifications.
