About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Workshop Controller to oversee the daily operation of a busy automotive workshop. The successful candidate will coordinate workflow between technicians and parts department to ensure maximum productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated automotive professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high\-quality service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritise workshop jobs to ensure efficient turnaround times
- Allocate work to technicians based on skill level and workshop capacity
- Monitor productivity, efficiency, and quality control standards
- Liaise with technicians and parts department to ensure smooth workflow
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed to manufacturer and company standards
- Maintain accurate workshop records and job progress updates
- Support and motivate workshop staff to achieve performance targets
- Ensure compliance with health \& safety regulations
- Assist with customer queries and technical issues when required
- Previous experience in a Workshop Controller, Senior Technician, or similar automotive role
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle repair and diagnostics
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast\-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Leadership experience within a motor industry workshop
- Computer literacy and familiarity with workshop management systems
- Full driving licence preferred
