Your Mission

As a Working Student in AI/ML/Data Science at Mercedes\-Benz, you will dive into cutting\-edge projects that harness the power of artificial intelligence and machine learning to shape the future of our products and services. You will be an integral part of a dynamic, cross\-functional team, collaborating with experts in Data Science, Machine Learning Engineering, and Product Development. Your role will involve applying your robust understanding of ML/AI fundamentals to practical challenges, potentially focusing on critical areas such as advanced data annotation, the development or enhancement of agentic platform products, or other innovative AI/ML initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands\-on experience, translate your academic knowledge into real\-world impact, and contribute directly to the user experience and technological advancements at Mercedes\-Benz.

Sneak preview of your future tasks

• Contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of data annotation strategies for diverse AI/ML datasets.


• Assist in the development, testing, and refinement of agentic platform components, machine learning models, or related AI\-driven features.


• Apply your strong grasp of machine learning and artificial intelligence fundamentals to analyze complex data, uncover insights, and propose innovative solutions.


• Collaborate closely with team members to integrate AI/ML solutions into existing systems or new product functionalities.


• Research and evaluate state\-of\-the\-art AI/ML techniques, tools, and methodologies relevant to ongoing and future projects.

Your Profile
----------------

Must have

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a comparable qualification.


• Strong understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence fundamentals (e.g., supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, natural language processing, reinforcement learning).


• It is mandatory to be enrolled in a university for the entire employment period.


• English is the working language, german is good to have.


• You are based in or near Berlin.

Nice to have

• Experience with data annotation processes, tools, or quality assurance for AI/ML datasets.


• Familiarity with agentic platforms, large language models (LLMs), or related AI product development concepts.


• Proven experience with version control systems (preferably Git).


• Knowledge of challenges and constraints within the automotive domain.


• Native or near\-native knowledge in other languages.


• Experience in user research or user\-centric design principles.
