Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Focus on the future: You support the development of embedded software in C for microcontroller\-based systems using Artificial Intelligence (AI) coding agents and modern development tools
- Stay up to date: You explore and evaluate AI\-supported development workflows including code generation, debugging, refactoring, testing, and documentation for embedded software projects
- Be creative: You create prototypes, scripts, and small tooling solutions to improve embedded software development efficiency and developer experience
- Experience research: You investigate current trends in AI\-assisted software engineering and assess their applicability to embedded systems development
- Keep your colleagues informed: You document findings, best practices, limitations, and recommendations and present results to the development team
- Teamwork is dreamwork: You work closely with embedded software engineers to identify practical use cases and integrate AI\-supported workflows into daily development activities
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Study Field: You are currently studying Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a similar subject
- Experience: You have 1 year of work experience
- Way of working: You are proactive and structured, enjoy experimenting with new technologies, and work well both independently and in a team
- Skills: You have good C programming skills, practical experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) coding assistants or agent\-based development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and are familiar with microcontrollers, debugging tools, version control systems, or embedded development environments
- Language Skills: You have very good English skills, both written and spoken
- CV in English
- Certificate of enrollment at university
- Latest grades transcript (not older than 6 months)
- High school report
- Working part\-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week
- Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 month
- You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team
